A division of multi-national chemical company has an immediate need for an Account Manager to manage our existing direct accounts and develop new business in Canada.  If you are looking for a role of real responsibility with a dynamic industry leader then we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities:
  • Managing an assigned sales territory of existing and developing account base according to sales forecasts and defined territory goals.
  • Developing close relationships with all levels of a customer’s organization.
  • Ensuring sales growth targets and profit margin improvement initiatives are met.
  • Coordinating all necessary activities that ensure customer satisfaction consistent with business objectives.
  • Identifying customer leads with an emphasis on new markets as defined by the business manager.
  • Providing well-documented call reports along with monthly territory updates.
  • Ensuring timely internal and external communication concerning customer issues and activities and be prepared to provide organized sales presentations to customers addressing products and technology.
 
Qualifications:
  • College/University Degree (Chemical Engineering, Mining, or Business).
  • Strong business acumen is a must
  • Bilingual French is preferred.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years proven sales experience preferably in the Chemical or Mining industry
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual that is capable of operating independently and able to adjust priorities to meet territory goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of communicating and/or solving customer problems is essential.
  • Ability to use common computer programs and learn in-house applications required.
  • Significant travel required (70% - 75%). 
Salary is $90k - $100k Canadian Dollars plus a 10% bonus once a certain goal is reached. Candidate will be supplied with a lap top, phone, car and credit card.  Product is sold through dealers or to mines anywhere in the country and especially northern Quebec which is a huge mining area which is why bi lingual is preferred. A degree is preferred.
