Our Client is a division of a global coatings technology company headquartered in the Eastern U.S. . Our client manufactures a variety of stock polymers including Alkyds resins, Varnishes, Silicone Polyesters, Polyesters, Polyamide imides, but their strength lies in their ability to manufacture customized resins.

Requirements :
  • BS, or equivalent, degree in Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in technical sales to industry, preferably polymers, resins, or specialty additives.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets.
  • Proven track record in growing water-based resin technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software, familiarity with CRM software.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and good interpersonal skills, including customer and internal presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Overnight travel up to 70% depending on location.

General Responsibilities :
  • Develop and enhance the portfolio of accounts through relationship management of key contacts within customers’ organizations.
  • Demonstrate a strategic selling approach by identifying key decision makers for various product areas (including early adopters and end user customers), while successfully positioning and communicating a value proposition; identify areas of potential high growth.
  • Create a development pipeline by promoting new and existing products to introduce our client to target markets and accounts throughout North America.
  • Accountable for regular updates on development pipeline against targets to management, including competitive activities and changes in strategy; report changes in purchasing patterns by analyzing the use of products by customer.
  • Assist and participate in contractual negotiations as necessary, including establishing pricing based on market conditions and competition.
  • Work with R&D, Product Development, and Marketing to refine new and existing products, considering market needs and demands.
  • Provide cost and needs analysis for current/potential customers to stay ahead of competition, as well as ensure a high level of technical assistance, recommendations and support to all customers.
  • Report customer problems or complaints, follow up on recommended corrective actions, and communicate directly with the customer to resolve complaints.
  • Use the CRM system for accurate tracking and reporting of contacts with customers, all market development activities and project status.
  • Conduct all activities according to HP Polymers policies for professional behavior and concern for the safety and health of self and others and respect for the environment.
