The Account Manager is responsible for delivering an action plan for the Canadian corporate market to achieve specified targets for our clients Information Displays. The Account Manager is also responsible for cultivating relationships and implementing collaborative business plans that deliver long term mutual growth. Also responsible for the account management and business development of National and Regional Corporate Value Added IT Resellers (VAR), in Ontario and Western Canada. Driving revenue growth with existing accounts; as well as identifying growth opportunities outside the base for our large and small format, Information Display products. The total comp is $80-95 base, with 60/40 MBO incentive plus the car allowance.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Area of Responsibility - Key Activities/Elements

1. Sales Quotas & Results
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly targets are achieved
  • Listing of core and premium skus by category
  • Develop account profile– key contacts / revenue /company revenue /competitors
  • Develop revenue plan by account– Forecasting 90 days out
  • Deliver action plan by account to achieve target revenues
  • Regular account visits
  • Expand our clients line within current dealer base in all categories
  • Prospect for potential new customers
  • Provide timely competitive information to head office
  • Ensure proper brand message is delivered via channel
  • Develop account specific promotional plans 30- 90 days out
 
2. Administration
  • Forecasting by major account by month by sku - 120 days out
  • Gap analysis by major account to identify opportunities
  • Market analysis worksheet – to be continually updated on a monthly basis
  • Revenue and share data by category including market trends
  • Service related issues
  • RA and DOA issues
  • Credit related concerns
  • Maintain proactive relationship with order desk counterpart
  • Timely response to all dealer inquiries
 
3. Self-Improvement & TrainingKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS , ABILITIES 

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
  • University degree preferably in business or 5 years equivalent independent account experience
  • Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
  • Strong communicator
  • Proficient in PC skills especially in Microsoft applications
  • Maintain a professional manner at all times, including customers and colleagues
  • Business casual attire
