We are looking for a strong Head of Global Talent Acquisition HR Executive with experience in a large (5000+ employees), global, matrixed HR organization, preferably in the mineral processing, construction, engineering services, utilities etc. industries. They will relocate from other EU countries nearby. Salary to USD $135K depending on experience. 

The company is a leading supplier of equipment and services to the global industrial construction, and mineral engineering services industries, is seeking qualified candidates to fill a role as the Head of Global Talent Acquisition based in the Bethlehem, PA (USA) or Copenhagen, Denmark office.
 
The Head of Global Talent Acquisition will function as a thought leader, innovator, and talent acquisition expert. This position will shape our global talent acquisition strategy and employer brand to source and attract the best talent for the company with a focus on both the internal workforce and external labor market. This is an individual contributor role that will be instrumental in working through HR leaders globally to build a sustainable talent pipeline with necessary competencies and new capabilities to continue our competitive advantage.
 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Develops and executes a talent acquisition strategy for the global organization by looking holistically at the business strategy and workforce planning needs.
  • Builds an integrated process that involves key stakeholders and is based on a new Cloud HRMS to ensure that we recruit the talent with the requisite capabilities to sustain our competitive advantage.
  • Implements a strategic workforce planning process in collaboration with regional HR heads that is aligned with other talent management processes and is supported by our Cloud solution.
  • This will support countries and business units in identifying critical staffing needs based on future growth, new products and services, and/or employee tenure in order to proactively recruit for and establish talent pools for key job openings and critical positions.
  • Manages the suite of assessments used in the recruitment and development of employees; creates assessment centers as relevant for new hires and/or development programs.
  • Evaluates existing menu of assessments, modifying as needed; ensure alignment with our talent acquisition strategy with consideration of value provided, process efficiency and costs.
  • Ensures the company is continually updated on the use of "global best practice assessment policies and tools.
  • Develops and manages frame agreements with select external partners, e.g., executive search firms, agencies, agencies, in conjunction with Procurement.
  • Creates or procures employment collateral and brand promotion messaging in conjunction with the Talent Management function, including managing online communications to leverage candidates through social media such as Linked In and relevant job boards.
  • Evaluates current media strategy to ensure we are attracting the best talent through these channels.
  • Develops and reports relevant analytics, i.e., quantitative and qualitative metrics and scorecards to achieve targeted results with a focus on continuous improvement of processes, hiring manager satisfaction and optimum candidate experiences.
  • Ensures that our competency model is embedded in our global talent sourcing, selection and assimilation programs so that prospective new hires are vetted for their technical expertise as well as organizational fit as we sustain our culture. 
  • Provides training to ensure hiring managers globally are sufficiently trained on the company’s behavioral interviewing process and job competencies in order to produce a consistent interview experience aimed at identifying the optimal candidates.
  • Ensure best practice standards within interviewing.
  • Designs and implements a global diversity recruitment initiative to encourage our access to and unlocking diverse thinking and perspectives.
  • With broad consideration of diversity, initial focus should be gender, culture and generational. Is supportive of mentoring to develop target populations, e.g., women in leadership, within the organization.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communication or related field. Master's degree preferred (HR, OD, MBA)
  • 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience for talent acquisition functions
  • Experience with Engineering or technical organizations strongly preferred
  • Consultative and analytical mindset, with the ability to work and earn trust across the organization
  • Creative thinker with strong influencing, motivational and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively cross culturally and cross functionally while influencing key contributors and peers
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction, take initiative, capable of handling multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
 
Travel:
  • Up to 20% travel to global destinations
