Over 90 years, this manufacturer of precision automotive components has established itself as an employer of choice in the Niagara Peninsula. It will add the talents of an accomplished Human Resources Manager for the full scope of Labour and Employee Relations for almost 400 employees. The 3-year Collective Agreement with the In-House Employees' Association was freshly negotiated this year so the new HR Manager will have the benefit of time to come to understand intent of language and the workplace cultural impact before leading negotiations in 2021. Our ideal candidate brings significant Labour Relations experiences & insight and a keen interest in business & how Human Resources can support strategic initiatives by leading change while respecting the positive values of a mature, high-seniority workforce. Solid experiences championing & supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives from the HR office will be particularly attractive to our client.


University Degree and some ten-plus years of Human Resources experiences in unionized manufacturing industries.  You will lead 2 HR Coordinators and 1 shared Administrator.  Production workforce is about 300 with 70 salaried employees. They need a partner in the HR office who knows what battles to fight, what grievances to take to, or close to, arbitration sending messages that change is on the way - the philosophy that negotiations happen every day not just when CA expires.HR Manager will lead negotiations in 2021 so labour relations strength is a critical hiring criteria.
