We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for our client in Auckland, New Zealand who are undertaking a significant land based development in Hamilton. We are searching worldwide for a qualified Civil Engineer with land development, earthworks, roading and rail and warehouse construction experience.

The Opportunity
This well respected operational and infrastructure business is a clear leader in their field. They continue to work toward delivering world class infrastructure facilities catering for both the public and private sectors within an ever changing dynamic and highly visible sector.  This role is responsible for the planning and managing development of the infrastructure assets and all the company’s sites which are both marine and land based.

With both short and long term infrastructure blueprints in place and an increasing number of high profile projects on the drawing board, this is an opportunity for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to step into a multi faceted role within a small, close knit and highly professional team.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager- Infrastructure and Property you will be involved with a diverse group of stakeholders such as Operations staff, Tenants, Contractors Stakeholders and General Management. You will be responsible for consulting with them regarding the planning and development of the company’s infrastructure assets in respect of the operation and development of activities on a multi site basis.  This includes land development (earthworks, roading services etc. and the development of freight facilities including buildings, warehouses, heavy duty pavements and rail sidings. In addition you will be responsible for ensuring that the relevant maintenance schedules are in place to protect infrastructure assets.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have at least 5-10 years experience of high level engineering and project management services encompassing consenting, development and maintenance of land based structures and services. You should have sound knowledge of professional civil engineering and property development for multi million dollar projects. You will have well developed communication and commercial skills including negotiation and management of contracts and projects. You will be required to acquire knowledge of the relevant New Zealand statutes and statutory plans including the Resource Management Act and Health and Safety at Work Act.  To be considered for this exciting and challenging role you should ideally have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and Property Development or similar relevant qualification in Engineering..
