International UED is looking for a creative, solution-driven and entrepreneurial Lead Content Strategist to take charge of the social media efforts for, our international B2C e-commerce platform. You’ll lead a small team of direct reports to create and implement social strategy, grow engagement and other key metrics, design campaigns, improve branding and experience across platforms and serve as an advocate for social within the company. In addition, you’ll find new and innovative ways to drive business through social media, both for AliExpress and for our sellers.
As the International UED Content Team, we work closely with our partners in the AliExpress business, including buyer operations, marketing, product, category management and seller operations. We currently operate AliExpress’ Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, VK and OK accounts for English, French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese and Hebrew markets.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Create an overall social media strategy, establish effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media, set KPIs, evaluate results and monitor team’s progress.
  • Lead cross-team collaboration efforts with various stakeholders including product managers, graphic designers, interaction designers, marketing specialists, sellers and external agencies. Create and optimize team workflows.
  • Be responsible for the voice, tones and quality of the content on AliExpress’ social media accounts. Maintain and implement guidelines.
  • Ensure execution of digital campaigns, that they align with global guidelines and are localized for each market.
  • Manage the team’s resources and scalability, including outsourcing, external cooperation, content management tools and user-generated content.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
  • Drive synergy with social paid ads, search, display, etc.
  • Monitor new trends in social media tools, platforms and applications in all key markets. Implement in team.
  • Oversee the monthly content calendar and the production/sourcing of each piece of content.
  • Budget management and planning.

  • This position is based in our Hangzhou office, but we are open to discussion with candidates based in Beijing and Shanghai.

  • 5 years or more of full-time social media & content experience. E-commerce or agency experience preferred.
  • Team management experience.
  • Agency and budget management experience.
  • A portfolio showing high-quality content deliverables.
  • Related degree preferred but not required.
  • Spoken Mandarin is a bonus.
