Our client is an Italian company leader in the cogeneration sector, with 24 entities in the World and more than 700 employees. They are currently looking for young engineers from the USA who are interested in starting a challenging international career in the Sales Department through their learning program based at their Headquarters in Italy.

They are looking for Electrical, Mechanical or Energy Engineers, motivated and eager to work and grow in a dynamic and young Group, striven to excellence.

The ideal candidate has 2/4 years of professional experience in Companies belonging to the Energy or Engineering Sector. A first experience in Technical Sales especially with strong international exposure, will be positively evaluated.

Degreed engineers with one to three years’ experience in the designated disciplines and wanting to develop their career as sales engineers are strong candidates.

This opportunity includes an intensive job-rotation working experience. The Program will be divided into two phases:

Phase 1:        

A)  Technical training on the job, during which the candidates will acquire knowledge about the company solutions and services. The candidate will be involved in activities within the Production, Service, Engineering and Sales Engineering departments at the Italian Headquarter for about 9 months.

B) Practical training on the job with Regional Sales Managers in order to acquire Know-how about the sector, customer management, leads generation, market analysis, negotiation techniques and much more.
Once the Program completed, candidates will cover the role of Sales Specialist, dealing with the commercial development of a specific International Area.
As Sales Specialists, they will be integrated in one of Company’s Sales Teams, covering a market to be identified. In this second phase, the candidates will:

Phase 2)

Be an active part of the sale cycle management working with the European based sales team on International projects experiencing:
from the first contacts to the closing negotiation
Develop business in all applications (natural gas, biogas, etc.)
Search for new leads/prospects carrying out a pre-selection of the opportunities
Join Senior Sales Specialists during the site-checks in order to identify the technical solutions for the plant interfaces
Develop technical and economic feasibility analysis
Prepare market analysis: applications, regions, segments, etc.
Participate and organize meetings with business partners and engineering companies.
Upon coming back home and establishing their office, candidates will receive full support from the company and be eligible to a starting salary or 65 to 70K USD
While in Italy, a base of 32K USD salary is offered, as well as full accommodations, car (one for 3 persons). The company will process Visa for the candidate only. If a family situation, candidates will have to apply for themselves for a Family Visa.
The company also provides 3 flights back home a year for the candidate.
Fluent English is fundamental, as well as the interest and availability in starting an International, challenging and awarding career. Candidates must be available to travel; the knowledge of a second language will be appreciated.
