We are looking for a manager with SAP project leadership expertise to manage our Regional IT Applications Center, leading seven team members. The Manager, SAP Regional Center Americas, is responsible to manage the regional coverage of SAP Application support as part of our clients Corporate IT (C-IT), to act as C-IT Project Manager for SAP Projects/Rollouts, as well as to manage 2nd and 3rd level SAP support. The role of the Manager, SAP Regional Center Americas is to support our clients business sectors in a comprehensive manner.
  • Responsible for the SAP support and project delivery in the Clients Americas Region as part of the clients global delivery model
  • Lead a team of SAP application support specialists based in Markham/Richmond Hill, Ontario
  • Project lead for regional SAP Rollout Projects
  • Manage regional 2nd and 3rd level SAP Support
  • Coordinate regional IT demands (enhancements)
  • Align with global priorities and resource utilization
  • Drive SAP innovation topics and consult our clients  subsidiaries in the Americas region regarding SAP requirements
  • Direct reporting line to the regional Vice-President, IT with functional reporting line to the Global Head of Applications based in Germany.
  • Excel in a dynamic and diverse environment and in a multi-national, collaborative global distributed team
  • 8-10 years of experience in the SAP environment
  • 2-3 years’ experience in SAP rollout/implementation projects as a Project Manager
  • 3-5 years’ experience with team management role with accountability for 5+ employees
  • Expertise in working in a global support organization and in matrix organizations.
Skills and Competencies: 

Superior SAP knowledge with deep knowledge of at least one SAP module or application area (e.g. Logistics or Finance)
Solid understanding of SAP strategies and trends like SAP Hana, Fiori, Cloud, etc.
Strong leadership and communication skills (oral and written)
Independent working style. Autonomous “self-starter” mentality
Bilingual in English/ Spanish and/or German Seen as asset
Team player
  • University degree or equivalent
20% Travel (Canadian Passport is required)
