The Senior Internal Auditor (Asia Pacific) position is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic audit professional who seeks to build on their existing Accounting and Audit experience through in-depth exposure to a fast-paced international business.  

Job Description
  • As a Sr. Internal Auditor, you will perform reviews of critical business processes, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and identifying potential process improvement opportunities. Specific job responsibilities include:
  • Lead risk-based audits. Manage 1-4 auditors per engagement.
  • Assess risk of business processes resulting in the preparation of audit plans and specific work programs.
  • Create process maps of significant financial, business, and operational processes in order to identify potential internal control weaknesses and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform scoping, execute audits, and manage the audit field work.
  • Identify, and clearly define, audit issues and root causes, recommend improved internal controls and business processes, and ensure balanced & high-impact observations published in clear & concise reports.
  • Participate in special projects related to departmental quality initiatives.
  • Coach & develop audit staff to ensure consistently high-performance output. Evaluate auditor performance.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business discipline(s).
  • CPA and/or MBA will be considered a strong plus, however not required.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience with Big 4 or regional public accounting firms, with exposure to a manufacturing environment - can include experience in a major corporate or industry setting. 
  • Prior supervisory positions and personnel development experience essential. 
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies with the ability to work effectively across all levels and functions within the business and manage co-source relationships with third party audit firm when applicable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups towards operational efficiencies.
  • Knowledge/experience in project management, strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and proven presentation skills.
  • A proactive and results/metrics driven individual will be successful in this role.
  • Travel (primarily within Asia) will take approximately 50%+ of work time, and so applicants must be willing to commit to this travel schedule. Position will be based in Shanghai.
  • Fluency in English & Business Mandarin is a pre-requisite. Other Asian language skills considered a strong plus.
