Auckland based organisation is seeking the skills of a Chartered Professional Engineer for their dynamic team.  This rare and exciting opportunity will suit you if you have a genuine curiosity about how things work, a passion for the technical aspect of mechanical and structural engineering. Salary $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 - New Zealand Dollars - Yearly + bonus. Will relocated worldwide but must be chartered in New Zealand.

Role Function / Responsibilities 
  • Monitor, manage and mitigate project risk including escalating to the Product Development Manager.
  • Ensure stakeholders are well informed of progress and issues and provide advice to stakeholders on problems/issues.
  • Provide effective guidance and direction for team members and stakeholders.
  • Communicate customer needs and customer standards to ensure that all team members have a clear understanding of requirements.
  • Coordinate/produce regular reporting for management, governance groups and other stakeholders as required, including resource forecasts and utilisation.
  • Responsible for advisory services across the business in terms of Projects.
  • Responsible for Mentoring of Graduate Engineers
 
Experience & Education 
  • CP Eng Qualification with a Mechanical Engineering Discipline.
  • Management experience gained preferably in Consulting or Construction Environment.
  • Extensive experience in delivering engineering projects in challenging environments.
  • Prior exposure to delivering projects in the food industry preferred.
  • Experience in sound commercial management of projects.
  • Experience in application of Project Management principles, techniques and common Project Management methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and/or laterally to ensure delivery.
