Responsible for the wider steering of the sourcing activities for the spend categories in the area of Labor & Corporate Services (including HR Services, Travel and Fleet, Marketing, Professional Services and Labor as well as Facility Management) with ~ 200 Mio€ spend/a
Manage a team of 12 experienced category managers located in different countries (UK, Sweden, Germany), taking full responsibility for the strategic and tactic sourcing activities related to the respective spend categories
Be a part of the International Corporate Procurement leadership team, actively shaping the Procurement function and its strategy and perception in the group. Support Operational Excellence and new digital enhancements, fostering new ideas to drive change.
Lead, instruct, supervise, support and challenge the category managers and continuously develop the sourcing strategy for the respective categories regarding saving potentials, standardization of specifications, new sourcing channels and supplier development
Identify innovative market approaches and solutions within these categories and drive them together with the key business stakeholders
Liaise with technical counterparts in the different businesses in order to reflect and pro-actively shape business needs; business policies in Fleet and Travel, promote and drive cross-functional and cross-border cooperation, staff and lead category-focused deep dive projects on saving potentials and effective implementation measures. Ensure close collaboration with key internal management decision-makers.
Take full responsibility and accountability for the wider spend forecasting, definition of saving potentials, negotiation and target as well as saving target achievement
Implement CWS (Contingency workforce solution) project enabling a very efficient handling of all external temporary staff.
Leadership, steering and management of the supplier relation within tenders and negotiations as well as in pre-tender discussions, prequalification processes and claim management; strategic development and control of business-critical supply chains
Promote and facilitate continuous skill development within the team as well as actively contribute to best practice sharing within Procurement
Potentially take-on mentoring responsibilities for developing young talents within Procurement
Qualifications
Relevant university degree
Several years of experience in strategic sourcing
Leadership experience in cross-country teams
Ability to understand demand carrier needs, grasp quickly fundamental economic drivers and key risks and help to transfer them into lean and reliable process solutions
Significant negotiation and contracting experience in an international environment
Highly analytical work approach
Strong and proven stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English, further languages of advantage
