About the role

The company's growth is driven by its focus on new ideas and its ability to convert these into commercial reality on time and within agreed cost and procurement constraints. 

As a Product Development Technologist, you will assist in all facets of the product development process from concept to commercialization.  

This role will report directly to the Nutritional Manager and more specifically includes:
  • planning/developing/implementation of new products, processes and technologies into production,
  • review of existing process and manage the transition of technologies and new processes for scale up, and
  • development and execution of validation protocols for new and existing processes and equipment.

Attributes required include:
  • Minimum Dairy, Food or Nutritional Science or Food Technology Degree
  • Minimum 2 years in technical and/or product development of Infant Formula, milk powder or dairy plant processes
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Technical competence

To gain traction requires the development of strong relationships across the business, in particular with the manufacturing teams around trouble shooting; with the quality and procurement teams regarding any ingredient issues or substitution; and supporting the continuous improvement effort.
